Julia Ward
Assistant Director
Julia’s love for theater began at just six years old when she stepped onto the stage for the first time. Growing up in Geauga County and being homeschooled through high school, she found endless opportunities to immerse herself in the performing arts, particularly through theater classes. These early experiences shaped her deep appreciation for both acting and the collaborative nature of theater.
As an actress, Julia has taken on a variety of roles, including Meg March in Little Women, Mama Bear in Shrek The Musical, and Mary Bennet in Pride and Prejudice. While performing has always been a passion, she discovered another love at age 14—stage management. The intricate work behind the scenes, from coordinating lights and sound to ensuring seamless productions, captivated her. Over the years, she has stage-managed numerous productions, including a local production that had an opportunity to perform in New York City.
Beyond the stage, Julia has also stepped into leadership roles as a director, guiding homeschool students in several productions, which had led her to take the next step in her theatrical journey by helping create Novelty Theater Company. With a mission to bring classic, timeless theater to the community, Julia is excited to create productions that inspire, entertain, and celebrate the magic of live performance.
